Last month, we told you about an opportunity to support workers at Baltimore’s Hyatt Regency hotel. You’ve got another chance to help this month, by rallying to support these hospitality workers “in their struggle for a fair process to decide on union representation.”
In our previous post, we let you know that workers at Baltimore’s Hyatt Regency make 3/5ths of what workers in cities such as Los Angeles, Seattle, Oakland, Philadelphia, and the San Francisco Airport are making, even though room rates are the same in Baltimore as they are in those places. Each of those hotels has unionized workers, but Baltimore’s still does not. Anyone passionate about labor rights, or about the necessity of quality wage labor jobs to any plan for a a better Baltimore, should attend the rally next week.
The “Rally to Support the Hyatt Workers” will be held:
Thursday, July 26th
4:30pm
McKeldin Square, Corner of Light and Pratt Streets 21202
