Want to Create a Community Garden or Green Space?

On July 24 the Parks & People Foundation will host a free workshop to connect citizens with the resources they need to get started on their garden or green space.

The workshop will share information about local nonprofits, city resources, volunteers, and grants and donations that can help launch community-managed green spaces. It will also offer tips for selecting and working with contractors. A flyer advertising the event is available here.

A primer to some of the principles Parks & People endorses for creating local green spaces is available in their 2002 “Guide to Greening Neighborhoods.”

The workshop will be held:

Parks & People offices, 800 Wyman Park DriveSuite 010
