As the population of seniors in the U.S. grows exponentially, an entirely new set of housing issues is arising. An upcoming webinar hosted by the Center for Housing Policy will bring together housing experts to look at the policy implications of these shifting demographics.
The one-hour July 16 event will address findings from the recent report, “Housing an Aging Population: Are We Prepared?” (pdf). Discussion topics will include “aging-in-place” programs and ideas for retrofitting suburban sites for senior housing.
Speakers include Ellen Durham-Jones, a professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology; Nancy Eldridge, executive director of the Cathedral Square Corporation; and Emily Salomon, a policy coordinator for the Center for Housing Policy.
The “Housing Landscape for Older Adults” webinar will be held:
Monday, July 16th
1 pm-2 pm Eastern
