Next month, Baltimore’s Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIABaltimore) will bring about Baltimore’s Architecture Month(s) 2012. What originated some years back as “Baltimore Architecture Week” has now developed into eight weeks containing eighteen events examining Baltimore’s architectural heritage.
The series begins soon, Thursday, Sept. 6th, with the Penza Bailey Architects 30th Anniversary Exhibit Opening Reception, and concludes on Thursday, Nov. 1st with Alexander Garvin’s lecture on Urban Revitalization.
During these two months there will be many seminars, tours and lectures including the Baltimore Architecture Walkabout on Saturday, Sept. 15 and the Baltimore Architects Speak: An Architect – Your Best Investment lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 17th.
These events are a great way to get out and learn about your city’s architectural history and to better understand how architects are working in Baltimore.
