Upcoming Webinar: Equitable Strategies for Growing Urban Agriculture

FarmersMarket

As CPHA often reports, the urban agriculture movement is spreading. Farms are serving a greater number of communities and finding new ways to aid them. PolicyLink‘s mini webinar series on urban agriculture seeks to explain “how low-income communities and communities of color are incorporating urban agriculture into their community development efforts and into policy infrastructures supporting this work.”

The next webinar in the series, to be held on August 28th, will spotlight the process of building support for urban farming in city hall, and will go over which strategies have successfully led to public/private partnerships that have advanced farming in particular cities.

Featured speakers:

  • Kimberly Hodgson, Cultivating Healthy Spaces Founder
  • Harry Rhodes, Growing Home in Chicago
  • Jennifer Ly, Sustainability Associate, City of Richmond

“Equitable Strategies for Growing Urban Agriculture” will be held:

Tuesday, August 28th
