The Community Law Center, the nonprofit law firm that provides legal services to nonprofits and community associations in Maryland, does not just give legal advice to its clients; it serves the Baltimore region by connecting community associations and local nonprofits with critical information and skills through their series of workshops.
The How to Start and Maintain a Nonprofit Organization workshop aims to help participants who wish to establish nonprofit organizations in Maryland understand the practical and legal considerations involved in operating a nonprofit organization. Key topics include: starting your organization, maintaining its legal status, writing and revising its articles of incorporation and bylaws, and applying for a tax exemption.
