Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Clean Water Act with the Waterkeeper Alliance, Blue Legacy, Waterkeepers Chesapeake, Potomac Riverkeeper, and Earthjustice on Saturday, September 15 from 11am-3pm. This event will take place at the Georgetown Waterfront Park in Washington, DC and is open to all ages.
It will begin with a morning paddle across the Potomac River, and will be followed by numerous speakers who are advocates for clean water. These speakers will discuss the progress made with this landmark legislation as well as what they envision for the next 40 years. The rally will be concluded with a waterfront clean-up sponsored by Teva.
Be sure to register for the CWA 40 rally and take advantage of this opportunity to meet your local Waterkeepers. Public transportation is highly recommended.
