Research Associates Foundation (RAF) of Baltimore has worked for three decades to support progressive community-oriented political action in our city, and recently grants have become one of the methods of support. In its Fall 2012 Grant Cycle, RAF will offer grants of up to $2,500  to “Baltimore area organizations or individuals engaged in transformational community activism.”

The deadline is soon (October 15th), and all of your chances to hear more about these grants in person are within the next two weeks. The first opportunity will be at RAF’s Fall Community Celebration, which will feature a panel discussion on Building a Better Baltimore: Challenges and Innovations in Community Organizing. It will be held:

Sunday, September 23rd
3pm
2640 Space, 2640 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21218

Additionally, there are two sessions dedicated solely to information about and answers to questions about the grants. They’ll be held:

September 26th
7pm
Red Emma’s Bookstore Coffeehouse, 800 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21202

October 1st
6:30pm
Village Learning Place, 2521 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21218
