Wed 9/5: Webinar on Urban Bikeway Design Guide

BikeLane

Cities across the country investing in bikeability have come to rely on the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) Urban Bikeway Design Guide as a resource for designing safe, protected bike routes. The 2nd edition of the guide, to be released this fall, will feature “updated graphic profiles for all of its bicycle facilities, a new subsection on bicycle boulevard planning and design, and a survey of materials used for green color in bikeways.”

This version of the guide is state of the art, and a must-have for bicycle advocates at the local level.  NACTO will be hosting a webinar in which the cities that compiled the guide will offer their input on how to use the guide. NACTO wants participants to “gain a better understanding of the guide’s contents, hear how to use and implement these designs, and find out what NACTO envisions as the next steps to adopt and deploy these tools and design guidelines.”

This webinar will be held:
September 5th, 2012, 3pm-4:30pm
Registration is still available here.
