Election Ballot: Question K Discussed and Explained

Changing the City’s election cycle? Yes, that’s the plan! Question K on this year’s election ballot asks that you support aligning the City’s election cycle with the presidential elections.  While CPHA does not support Question K, we think you should hear from unbiased sources on the matter.

The League of Women Voters of Baltimore City has coordinated this forum to help explain and answer any question or concern you may have regarding this ballot question.  The forum will also host two speakers, Dr. Matthew Crenson, Johns Hopkins University and Dr. Herb Smith, McDaniel College who will help explain to attendees all there is to know about this ballot question.

Here is Question K as it will appear on your ballot (to read ALL TWENTY of this year’s ballot questions, click here!):

Resolution No. 12-03 for the purpose of confirming State Legislation, by providing for the election of the Mayor, the Comptroller, and the President and Members of the City Council in 2016 and in every succeeding fourth year; adjusting the terms of office for those elected in 2011.
