Support Anti-Source of Income Discrimination Legislation in Baltimore City

CPHA has long advocated for legislation to end housing discrimination based on source of income (which includes housing vouchers). In particular, we’ve been outspoken supporters for it in Baltimore County and at the state level.

Recently, Councilman Ryan Dorsey introduced a bill that would prohibit such discrimination in Baltimore City. If we want to reduce segregation and end homelessness in our city, such legislation is essential.

Similar laws are already in place in Howard, Frederick, and Montgomery Counties as well as the cities of Annapolis and Frederick. They’ve also been passed in over 12 states and the District of Columbia.

Call your City Council member today and tell them nobody with any lawful source of income, should face discrimination in finding a place to live.
