74th Annual Meeting

Events this past spring brought deep racial and economic divisions within our City to national and international attention. Join University of Baltimore Provost Dr. Joseph Wood and students from the Divided Baltimore: How Did We Get Here, Where Do We Go? class for a discussion on how racial and economic inequities developed in Baltimore and what can be done about them.

Consisting of both graduate and undergraduate students and open to the public, the Divided Baltimore class focused on the root causes of inequality in Baltimore as well as potential solutions. Guest lecturers included author Wes Moore, former CPHA director Michael Sarbanes, and Baltimore City Health Commissioner Leana Wen. The class has received media coverage in The Daily Record, The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore Business Journal, and even The New York Times.

We’ll also be presenting the Frances Morton Froelicher Civic Statesmanship and Hathaway Ferebee Neighborhood Achievement Awards.

This is CPHA’s only fundraising event of the year. We thank you for your support.

The event will be held:

Wednesday, December 9
6:30pm- 9:30pm
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity House
1207 Eutaw Place
Baltimore, MD 21217
