Social Media Intern

Are you a good writer? Do your friends call you a grammarian? Do you love to read the news? Do you enjoy sharing information with people online?

CPHA is hiring an intern who will monitor Twitter feeds, Facebook posts and select blogs to find and share information that relates to CPHA’s mission.

Benefits of an internship with CPHA:

  • The intern will learn about pressing issues facing the Baltimore metropolitan area and opportunities to address them on the local, regional and state level.
  • The intern will learn about working for a nonprofit organization, and learn about the culture of nonprofits.

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Monitor news related to CPHA’s focus areas and programs
  • Share articles, reports, and events on CPHA’s Facebook and Twitter pages
  • Create email newsletters
  • Generally maintain CPHA’s social media presence

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with CPHA staff and community members.
  • Interest in community action, research, public policy, and advocacy.
  • Passion for improving communities and strong personal values that align with CPHA’s Vision and Mission.
